SHE'S A PUBLISHED AUTHOR

It is my joy and and delight to annouce the much awaited poetry book by Sarah Joy Holden. The book is called 'Prolific Poetess'. This weekend just gone after many months of editing back and forth with the proof reader/editor, I found myself holding the paper version of my own word - Phew Praise God. The journey here wasn't easy and anyone who thinks it is clearly mistaken.   There have been endless sleepless nights, anxiety and stress in the process.  But there has also been much joy all of which has been a tremendous and glorious experience.

I never realised what an enormous struggle publishing your book of anything would be. There have be some very lonely times mixed, emotions and moments of praise during this process. I know from fellow writers I'm not alone with these feelings. I wanted to give you the reader the best of my writing heart. My main beating heart belongs to the those I love dearly (two hearts in one).

There is now the feeling that I have learned from speaking with other writers of 'Post publication blues'.  I am feeling a mixture of excitement, tiredness, apprehension. Wanting to get on with other writing projects put having very little will power. Everyone is congratulating but here I sit wondering - 'is anyone going to buy my book, are people still interested in reading poetry books? are books still relevant?' I tried to develop and rescue my short stories but it only confirms I am not a story writer and when the time is right

I will be back to writing my best work again. So let's focus on the positives, it is wonderful to be able to call myself a 'published author'.There has always been a desire in my heart to write my own book. As a teenager, I was once asked a question, ‘If someone was to write a book about you, what do you think they would call it?’ The answer I gave then was ‘Princess Joy.’ InHebrew, Sarah means Princess and Joy is my middle name. When some people see my initials SJH, they assume my middle name is Jane. This iswhy I like being called ‘Sarah Joy.’I have attempted to publish before using the title 'Princess Joy', yet it dramatically flopped due tomy lack of experience. Yet in the past few years I
have had some great mentoring from those with experience in publishing and teaching.

And it is with their encouragement and direction, never giving up on me why 'Prolific Poetess' is in print today.  I was going to have a book launch but I'm unsure this will happen.  You can purchase your own copies on https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FCS37KWS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title available in paperback and kindle.

Thank you all for your support.

God bless

Sarah Joy Holden
