TIME TO BLOG YOU FAREWELL

I've been blogging now for almost seven years and there's a total of eighty eight random blogs. Although blogging has never been my main source for writing. It only happens if my poems exceed eight verses or if random thoughts of creative writing come bounding up on me. 

So, it's with some sadness I write to say, that from May 2026 I will no longer be blogging. I have seen numbers of readers decline and other circumstances have taken president. I will however continue to write my poetry as and when God leads me. I'm concentrating on writing personally for myself and trying to get back into the habit of journaling again. To think way back in 2016 I was never a poet and started my writing as journaling. How my writing has changed despite still being a hopeless speller and inaccurate  punctuation. Next week I start chemotherapy, this is my priority so writing may or may not take a back seat. I have struggled this week with criticism over my writing; this had led me to hibernate suffering from what we writers call 'imposter syndrome.' This also has been part of my decision to cease blogging, and remove myself from certain writing platforms. There's alot for my head to process right now. I feel if I streamline my writing outlets I can therefore focus on one area to write. 

It also gives me the opportunity to focus on my second book, it is compling nicely. There are a few ideas still floating about. It won't be available anytime soon, I'm taking my time with this one. I need to think also about the practicalities, which right now isn't my number one priority. I'm also looking into doing a writing course of some kind, if you know of anything I be interested to hear from you. 

Don't panic Prolific Poetess isn't going anywhere, you'll see her popping up in various places from time to time. But for now it's farewell to 'This Writers Heart' and the other blog names I have been known over seven years. The future is bright, the future is write.

REUNITED WITH THE FATHER

I was sat in my lounge this morning and I suddenly started thinking about being 'reunited with the Father.' Not so much our earthly fathers but that of our Heavenly Father. It also got me thinking about moments in the bible scriptures where we read about children and their fathers being reunited. The first that came to mind was Joseph and his Father, son of Jacob, known for his coat of many colours and his rise to power in Egypt (Genesis 46:28-34). Jacob believed that his son was dead, yet Joseph, who had become a high official in Egypt, reveals his identity to his brothers who had come seeking food during a famine. Jacob is overjoyed to learn that his son is alive and in a position of power. The reunion takes place in the land of Goshen, where Jacob's family settles. THE WAITING

This morning I have been just been reading a friends bible devotion, they were talking about 'waiting and the different aspects of waiting. This reminded me of a time recently when 'God the Father' reminded me to 'wait.' This inspired me to look deeper into the subject of waiting and explore this further both as believers and non believers. Psalm 33:20-22 “Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.” The English dictionary refers to waiting or wait as;  • stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or event. • stay where one is or delay action until (someone) arrives or is ready. • Be left until a later time before being dealt with. • A delay until a person's arrival. • remain in readiness for a purpose. SHE HAS DONE IT

For some athletes 202.2 miles in a year might not seem a big deal. But for me it is a great achievement, especially when 54 years ago being told you would never walk. On Sunday depite foot pain and tiredness I pressed on and reached my goal 100 walks in 12 months. Those who really know me, know that when I put my mind to something there's no stopping me. On my birthday in 2024 I set myself a goal to walk 53 walks in my 53 years of life, complete it by 9th December 2025. By June I had completed 53 walks. I was then challenged to raise the bar and get to 100 by 31st December. At 3pm on 28th December I had finished walk 101. In my head I thought it was walk 98/99. I had walked 2 more than i thought.I have been using my Strava app to keep me on track, this was a personal challenge and not for a charity fundraiser.  If only those doubtful medics could see me now.
