THE PARABLE OF THE MISSING STORY

THE PARABLE OF THE MISSING STORY

Milly-Molly was a young published author who most days could be found scribbling in her journals. A journal is a record that stores details of your life ranging from events, ideas, feelings, and your daily thoughts, memories. In this way, she was able to remember what she did, what she was thinking and feeling, and what had happened.

One week in February, someone asked Milly-Molly the writers permission for a piece of writing she did for them last year. Milly-Molly agreed but then couldn't find any electronic version of it, but neverdisclosedthistothe friend.  She  remembered that it would of been been in one of her writing journals, he prayed to the Lord that He would help her find it,  within the twelve journals and eight notebooks she had previously written in. Yet procrastination got the better of her; she found herself reading through pieces of writing she had written in the past. Some pieces where joyful whilst others cringe-worthy; some pieces of writing took her back to certain events in her life. There where poems in them she had totally forgotten about. But what Broughrt her joy was that most revolved around her own  faith journey with Jesus. Had God made Milly-Molly sit with them, to remind her of the goodness of God.

Milly-Molly continued to turn each page, often with a moments pause. Eventually as she was flicking through journal number ten, she found the piece of writing she had been looking for. So she marked the page. Yet her curiosity kept her flickering through the old pages reading and reminiscing all of her written words, till she had finished them all. This led  Milly-Molly to a time of praise and thanks giving (journals have a habit of this). She was filled with joy for the remainder of the day. It also confirmed what many of her writing buddies call her; that she definitely is  a 'prolific writer'. Even the new pending book has the word 'Prolific' in it's title.

They don't have a clue where her journals are located

Milly-Molly journals now have a whole new shelve to themselves, on her brand new bigger bookcase. She never indexs any of her journals, which makes the adventure of looking up something even more fun and time consuming.  These journals are never seen by anyone other than herself, for the sit disguised with other reading materials. No one rarely visits and they don't have a clue where her journals are located; perhaps they believe if they visited,  they'd endup beingin oneofher poems or stories. But Milly-Molly is super careful not to use people's real indenty and circumstances (Milly- Molly couldn't afford the legal fees or penitence).

So, now having found the piece of writing Milly-Molly opened up the laptop. Sitting at her desk in the window; with the sun streaming through: therefore casting a shadow on the laptop, this making it difficult to see. And she couldn't close the curtains of the bay window, that would have meant the curtains were behind her and the risk of them and its rail comingdown, so she shut the blinds. Now here was where the challenge presented itself, to shut the blinds meant the room got darker and the big light was behind her. There was one window without a blind and yes this was the window the sun streams through.   Yet all of this didn't stop Milly-Molly, she cracked on typing out the relevant poem (a few tweets at the discreastion of the writer). It was proof read manually and by spell checks before being sent to its recipient.

Not much hand written journaling happened since then, partly down to a week of ill health. But that doesn’t go to say Milly-Molly hasn't been non prolific, there's a few pieces ready to be hand written. She has been writing this week on electronic devices and trying to edit a book of stories. Perhaps today will be the day that, the journal, pen and herself come together. If you're a writer and anything like Milly-Milly once started you can't stop. She loves words' and the world can’t function without the writen or spoken words.

So the missing story was found and delivered: Milly-Molly did eventually put here poetry and thoughts down in her new journal (pink this time): The book draft being saved for another day. And with that she made herself lunch ( Saturday bacon buttie) and a brew. Watch this space more prolific writing from Milly-Molly and friends maybe coming somewhere soon.
