NEW CREATIVE POSSIBILITIES

WoW can you believe we are into another month already, clocks have gone back and the nights are darker.  And one month away from Christmas, I think I can get away with mentioning Christmas now (can't I 🤔).

This year I was introduced and asked to share my poetry regularly on https://www.heartscribe.co.uk/ . What a blessing it has been and it definitely boosted my writing confidence. In the last month and a half, I have started turning some my poetry into songs. I'm not a song writer, but it is something I have fancied doing for a while now. In order for this to happen I've had to let go of my AI fears and doubts. I don't trust easily it takes me time to build up trust in people and situations. Someone introduced me to the Suno app, here I started upload some of my work and with the encouragement of heartscribe and the help of God's Holy Spirit, it has been possible.

Those who know me will know that punctuation and grammar are my weakness; unfortunately it appears in these tracks but I haven't worked out how to correct this yet. But the most important thing is the message of my Faith in Jesus and the Hope he brings to each of us whatever we are facing. 

In the past I've been reluctant to share my faith on social media, but in June 2023 Joy Velykorodnyy spoke an encouragement over me at a christian writers retreat in Criccieth; which has stayed with me ever since. It gave me the boldness to publish my first book of poetry this year, share my faith poetry on social media and connect more with other Christian writers such as Heartscribe.co.uk and Trellis poetry group who meet on line once a  month. Linked to this post is a poem I wrote just this week and turned into my latest song (it's not me singing), it is alsoon my previous blog. 

A lot of my work stems from what I am facing at the time or situations that are taking place in my surroundings and in this crazy world we live in. Thank you to everyone who has helped me on my creative journey so far, it means the world to me.

TEN YEARS A WRITER

  T oday I’m celebrating ten years since the start of my writing journey. It all started back in 2015. I had already many years of creativity behind me especially card making and embroidery. I never even considered ten years later I would become the writer I am today. It all started back in 2015, circumstances at the time weren’t great and often my frustrations would often be active or verbal. Several people in my home church including the pastor at the time Derek Hughes encouraged me to keep a written journal. It really helped me pen my frustrations down on paper than outwardly getting my frustrations out on others. During this season I really felt the presence of Jesus helping and guiding me. REUNITED WITH THE FATHER

I was sat in my lounge this morning and I suddenly started thinking about being 'reunited with the Father.' Not so much our earthly fathers but that of our Heavenly Father. It also got me thinking about moments in the bible scriptures where we read about children and their fathers being reunited. The first that came to mind was Joseph and his Father, son of Jacob, known for his coat of many colours and his rise to power in Egypt (Genesis 46:28-34). Jacob believed that his son was dead, yet Joseph, who had become a high official in Egypt, reveals his identity to his brothers who had come seeking food during a famine. Jacob is overjoyed to learn that his son is alive and in a position of power. The reunion takes place in the land of Goshen, where Jacob's family settles. As I started thinking and reading about this account of being reunited with the Father another biblical story came to mind.
